Introduction
The Sword Fighter’s Guild coordinates sword fighting activities across
North America (America and Canada). The guild can operate at any venue, in any
location, and under any condition.
The main function of the Sword Fighter’s Guild is to organize official
Tournaments, provide a League in which the participants can gauge their
progress against other sword fighters in the country, and to award prizes for
certain achievements within the local guild and at convention, regional, and
national tournaments. Participants can progress in the League by participating
in any SFG Tournament, in sanctioned one-on-one Duels against NERO SFG
Champions and other Duelists, and by volunteering to help with Guild events.
Prizes are earned by accruing
Dragon Points, which
allow the member to choose prizes from the

What Makes the Sword Fighter’s Guild Different?
- There are many aspects that set apart the NERO Sword Fighters Guild from
other similar venues.
- NERO provides the latex foam swords, also called Boffer Swords.
- We incorporate a scaled point-based league to compete against every
other sword fighter in the country
- There is room for all levels of sword fighter.
- The SFG Database allows each member to chart there progress as a Sword
Fighter.
- Our scaled system is designed to encourage members to constantly test
themselves against higher and higher rankings, while
- Our system prevents those in the low ranks from being “beat up on” by
the experienced members, preventing them from advancing in the league.
- Uses Dragon Points and the Dragon's Horde to offer a wider variety
of prizes.
How Does League Ranking Work?
- The league ranking system is based on the Guild Points accrued with each
victory in a tournament or duel.
- Upon winning any sanctioned Guild match, the member will score 1 League Point.
- Bonus points will be awarded for defeating an SFG Champion in a Duel,
and for high placing in tournaments.
- Placing in the Top 4 of any SFG Tournament earns the member Dragon
Points as well as bonus League Points, as illustrated in Table 3.
Promotion and Marketing
- All promotional aspects of the Sword Fighter’s Guild will be managed by
The Live Adventures Company - NERO International.
- Local area referees, called NERO Knights, are given standard advertising
materials to distribute.
- Promotion for SFG Tournaments will be coupled with advertisements for
other LARP oriented venues operated by NERO.
